My True Near Death Experience

This little gem was sent in by fifty-five year old 'Liz'.

About two years ago I needed a Operation to fuse my back-back together with new bone. Doesn't sound to good does it? Well it wasn't...The surgery went as well as it could, for awhile anyway. The Doctors even came out and told my husband everything was fine. However a short while later that just wasn't true.

About 2 hours later the doctors came back, after my husband had came looking for me, and they told him I was in ICU and that I had stopped breathing.

I can tell you right now I knew everything they were doing to me. I was out of my body, at the top of the room looking down at my body. I remember thinking how cold the table looked and how I looked like a fish flopping around on the cold surface while the Medical Team were working on me. But I also don't remember being afraid of what I was seeing.

Then I guess I started to get mad at what they were doing to me,and right then and there I decided this wasn't right - It just wasn't my time. And then the next thing I remember was waking up in ICU and my husband was there with me. I will always remember what happened and when, and how it made me feel. A very strange feeling, but not afraid. Almost peaceful. But I wanted to go back to my body, and somehow I did.
